Finca Rosma is owned by the Morales family. Fredy, the son, currently manages the farm. Alejandro Rosales (the dad) bought the farm in 1963. The farm is named after Fredy's grandmother, Rosemarie.

Finca Rosma is located on a high ridge of the Sierra Los Cuchumatanes mountains. The area is in Guatemala's western highlands not far from Mexico's southern border. The farm is very steep and tops out around 1900 meters above sea level. When Alejandro first bought the farm the only way to access the area was on foot or horseback. All processing is done onsite.
