Tanetze de Zaragoza is a municipality in Mexico's south-western state of Oaxaca. The area is nestled into the mist-covered mountains and rich biodiversity of region. The people here are part of the indigenous Zapotec people. Here, in this corner of Oaxaca, they live a life that preserves their culture, tradition, and languages, living a lifestyle that is rooted in community and collective work.
Growing altitudes are around 1500 to 1600 meters above sea level. Contributing farmers are planted in mostly Mundo Novo and Typica varietals. After havest, the coffee is depulped, fermented for 24 hours, washed, and then dried on patios for 8-12 days.
