Rukira is a cooperative wet mill in the town of Othaya. Members bring their coffee cherry to the mill for processing. The mill is part of the larger Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS). Othaya FCS was formed in the 1950’s with 250 original members and is now at 15,000 members. About 500 farmers deliver coffee to Rukira. Altitudes in the area hang around 1900 masl.
