This coffee comes from the Uraga Woreda which lies within the Guji Zone in southern Ethiopia. Growing altitudes of this coffee top out at an impressive 2200 meters above sea level, and this coffee was processed in the classic washed Sidama and Yirga Cheffe manner where the coffee cherry skin is removed using disc pullers and the coffee is then soaked and ferments in tanks for 72 hours so that the mucilage layer of the coffee fruit breaks down and breaks free. The coffee is vigorously agitated with wooden paddles to further help break the mucilage free. The coffee is then rinsed and takes an overnight bath in clean water before being put out to dry in the sun on raised beds where it is routinely picked over by hand removing defects and turning the coffee over to ensure even drying.

This coffee is a light roast. The cup is complex and zesty with clean fruit flavors, table sugar sweetness, florals, refreshing, mouth cleansing acidity, notes of Meyer lemon and red grape, lilac and jasmine.

This coffee is part of our Farm Gate pricing program.
