This coffee comes from the Kamwangi wet mill in eastern Kirinyaga, Kenya. This mill was established in 1997 has 720 male memebers and 266 female members each member with about 250 trees. Kamwangi provides monetary advances and input loans to its members. Coffee is grown in the red volcanic soils of Mt. Kenya at altitudes up to 1900 masl. 

This coffee is a lighter roast. Fragrance of dry grounds shows lots of unrefined sugars, grape chews, faint citrus and baking spices. Adding hot water brings out aromas cardamom, marmalade, grape jelly, and sugar cookies. The cup is bright and juicy with fruited complexity; notes green apple, pomegranate, tamarind candy, raspberry, lime, and pomelo.
